Each invented river station journal carries this common notice. It marks the pages as synthetic QA material, separates routine publication furniture from the event narrative, and warns that no measurement here is a real environmental reading. The repeated notice is intentionally long enough to exercise repeated main text. The distinct field accounts should retain their own meaning after ordinary page furniture is considered.
The observer arrived at the invented station with a blank sketch and an older route card. A fallen branch obscured one landmark, so the observer drew the visible path before consulting the older card. The final entry kept both descriptions and explained which features could still be seen from the footbridge.
Later in the afternoon, a second observer checked the clock written on the camera sheet. The camera and notebook used different conventions for the same visit. The journal recorded that difference explicitly rather than moving observations into a new sequence without explanation.
The team's training discussion focused on how an absent reading should be described. A blank column did not mean that the river had stopped moving, and an unused marker did not mean that an instrument had failed. These are invented narrative examples, not numerical observations.
